The Board of directors meet on the 3rd Wednesday each month at 9:00 AM. Our board desires to be open and transparent with the community we serve.                     Subject: Preparing for Wildfire Season - Staying Informed and Ready

Dear Community Members,

As we move into wildfire season, the Grand Valley Fire Protection District encourages all residents, businesses, and visitors to remain vigilant and prepared. Wildfire conditions can change rapidly, and early awareness is one of the most effective tools we have to protect lives, property, and first responders.

Fire restrictions may be implemented or intensified as weather and fuel conditions evolve. These restrictions are put in place to reduce the risk of human-caused fires and to limit fire behavior during periods of heightened danger. We ask everyone to stay alert for updates to fire restrictions and to follow them closely when they are in effect.

It is equally important to be prepared for the possibility of evacuations. Evacuation notices may be issued with little warning, and prompt action helps ensure your safety while allowing emergency personnel to respond effectively. All households are encouraged to review evacuation routes, prepare emergency go-kits, and plan ahead for family members, pets, and livestock.
